Rancher Shep Horgan finds an injured Jubal Troop who Horgan begins to trust soon after as he offers him a job as a cowhand. Mae Horgan is unhappy in her marriage with Shep and begins to like Jubal, but he takes a liking in Naomi Hoktor who has a travelling wagon train stationed on Shep’s land. Problems arise soon after.
