Frank Elgin is a singer and actor who is worn out and needs a new break and finds it when director Bernie Dodd hires him for a new musical.  His insecurities lead him to alcohol and leave his wife Georgie taking care of everything.  Bernie is determined to bring back the old Frank and thinks Georgie is the root of his problems.
