The Higgins family is very big on health and every morning takes a swim. Windy Weebe, a health-tonic salesman, arrives and informs the family they could swim across the English Channel along with a sponsorship by "Liquapep" and a coach named Windy. They travel to Europe and agree that their daughter Katie is the best choice to enter the race. She becomes distracted by handsome Frenchman André Lanet who is interested in her.
