A loose representation of the life of Jim Bowie. It begins with him traveling to New Orleans to sell lumber and there he meets Judalon and falls in love with her. To not feel so different from his competition, he becomes more experienced. He becomes successful and gets an estate. He attempts to marry Judalon, but she has already gotten married to womanizer, Phillipe. Using his intelligence, he creates a unique knife made part of meteorite.
