Bomba the Jungle Boy discovers a hurt lion that is dying an excruciating and slow death. He comes across a group of people that trap lions and sells them to zoos, which were not able to keep these types of animals during the war. Tom Forbes and his daughter Jean are heading downstream to meet up with his business associate Marty Martin, who has already obtained many animals for the zoo. Bomba’s plan is to free the animals as they are being taken.  He becomes friends with Jean and convinces her how doing this to the animals is unethical. He does not convince Martin who plans to follow through with his plans.
