Newspaper reporters Clark Kent and Lois Lane travel to a small town named Silsby in order to watch the drilling of the world's deepest oil well. The drill uncovers the home of small and furry people who only come out at night. The townspeople become frightened by the people since they glow in the dark. Luke Benson leads the people in trying to kill them, but Superman is there to stop this from happening.
