The biography of Native American Jim Thorpe, who grew up on an Oklahoma reservation and later became an Olympian, setting many world records including in the decathlon and pentathlon. His life goes downhill after his medals are taken away and his aspirations to coach college football do not become a reality. He divorces his college sweetheart and everyone else seems to forget about him but his coach , Glenn 'Pop' Warner, at Carlisle College does not forget the man he was.
