The film is set in the 1830's where Flint Mitchell , a beaver trapper, and other trappers search for beaver in the unknown provinces of Idaho and Montana. In order to get more beaver, Flint marries a Blackfoot woman, but discovers he has more feelings for her than just obtaining more pelts.
