Baptiste is a pirate that steals ships only of the wealthy.  Debbie is a friendly gal who is a passenger on one of the ships and stays on it.  She eventually falls in love with the pirate and becomes a New Orleans performer.  Debbie is shocked to find out he has another identity and is engaged to the governor’s daughter.
