Small town girl, Lily James comes from Kansas to the big city of New York to work as a model for the Thomas Callaway Agency. Although she comes from a small town, she is witty due to her tough life. She thinks she can forget about her problems if she becomes successful. Due to her strong work principles, she rapidly climbs to the top in the modeling world. Steve Harleigh, a rich copper mine owner is captivated by her. They fall in love quickly and believe nothing can separate them. The problem is that his whole life is in Montana and he is still married. Steve feels remorseful about his betrayal, for his wife Nora Nora is incapacitated from a car accident he caused. Lily wonders if it is all worth it, for she does not want to ruin the poor woman’s life.
