Jenny loses her six-year-old son, Tommy after flying over the Belgian Congo when they must jump out. Jenny is rescued by a safari led by two wild-animal collectors, but Tommy is never found. He loses his memory and is adopted by a huge gorilla named Zamba. Tommy is content with his new family, but Jenny comes back looking for him. Zamba feels the urgency to protect him from Jenny.
