Stevens is the delinquent and as executor wants to sell some of the estate, which is why he wants the heirs out of his hair.

It is later learned that Stevens killed Don Bustamante, the father of Ramon, which is how he framed Ramon with murder. Tim and Chito want to put an end to Stevens and clear Ramon’s name, for he loved his father and would never do anything to hurt him.
