Texas Rangers Tim Holt and Chito Rafferty travel to Wilcox to research the invasions on Hoyt Corthell by a gang of incognito bandits along with Diablo Kid as their leader. Holt and Chito pretend to be cowhands and are stopped by the Trevitts and taken to their ranch where they meet the whole family. There they are held as prisoners in their ranch. Tim gets injured by Doc Nichols as he is about to tackle a bandit. Gale pretends to be Diablo Kid, and that is when Tim and Chito realize that all the local ranchers are being taken advantage of by Corthell.
