Fred C. Dobbs and Bob Curtin are in Tampico, Mexico in the year of 1925 and are out of luck until they encounter gray prospector Howard. They decide to work with him in order to find gold in the jungles of central Mexico. They go through many obstacles, but finally find their gold, yet criminals come to turn their world upside down.
