Meg glorifies her school’s best ballerina, the frivolous Ariane Bouchet. She becomes agitated when she finds out that Darina will be the lead ballerina in her school’s presentation of “Swan Lake.” To prevent this from happening, Meg plans an accident on the first night of the performance that almost leaves Darina dead. She can no longer dance and Bouchet is the one with all the glory at the end. Meg regrets what she did.
