Gene Autry tries to orchestrate that both the Indians and ranchers be expected to be driven from their property by Mesa City's confined channel, which will be beneficial. Town banker Mason is against this, so he rallies the Indians against Gene.  Yet, with the assistance of school teacher Carol, Gene is able to uncover Mason's foul play.
