Clayton Moore (of the Lone Ranger fame) stars as the famed outlaw Jesse James, who has reformed and wants to settle down, but is forced to become a fugitive by the crimes committed in his name. Jesse and his pal Steve Lane begin to wander through the West in an attempt to escape the law, finally winding up in Peaceful Valley, Tennessee. Jesse and Steve no sooner arrive than they are forced to defend some homesteader Ann Bolton (Linda Stirling) and her crippled father (Tom London) from an attack by the cloaked and masked Black Raiders!
