Sister Clodagh, along with four other nuns, is sent to build a new convent in the Himalayas. It is difficult for them to get used to their new house that is on the edge of a cliff, but they soon build a school and a clinic to treat the ill. Their surroundings begin to affect the way they feel and bring back old memories.
