New to the business, Monte Hale is knocking on doors to find a job in western movies. His luck changes when he encounters Danny McCoy and his sister Gloria. Danny is not an actor but he wants his horse, Pardner, to be part of the film business. They are discovered by a casting director when Monte sings a song and Pardner goes along with the act, performing some tricks. They both get the parts they desire, but an explosion occurs, scaring the horse. George Sheridan is behind the explosion, for he envies Monte. When Monte finds out, he gets into a huge fight with him. Luckily the horse gets better and gets back to his performance.
