A condemned burglar in Dartmoor prison conceals the position of the Bank of England printing plates he robbed inside three music boxes. Holmes and Watson are on scene to find out what is happening when the buyers of the boxes start being killed off.
The owners of three inexpensive music boxes are being murdered and Sherlock Holmes begins to investigate what could be so important about the boxes. This is Basil Rathbone’s final appearance on film as the legendary sleuth.
