This award winning World War II documentary covers the 25th and final mission of “The Memphis Belle”, a B-17 flying fortress piloted by Col. Robert T. Morgan in the European theater.  Covering various aspects of the mission, including footage from the actual mission of its bombing of German submarine pens in Wilhelmshafen, Germany.  Shot with color film, the documentary focuses on the crew of the plane as ordinary men doing their jobs in an extraordinary situation.
