Pinkerton Agent Tracy is sent to prison in order to obtain information on a counterfeiting assignment from inmate Ganley. When he finds out that Dawson and his gang are behind the operation, he poses as Ganley’s friend and becomes a member of the gang. As he learns more about their scheme, Ganley escapes from prison since he now knows who Tracy really is.
