Gerry and Tom Jeffers are not enjoying their married life due to difficult financial matters. Tom is an inventor/architect and they are about to be evicted from their apartment until Gerry encounters a wealthy businessman who may be a possible tenant. He gives Gerry $700 to help her, but Tom doesn’t believe her story and they begin to fight. Gerry travels to Palm Beach to get a divorce, but Tom follows her.
