On his way to be married, Phillip Bennet apparently dies in a car accident. However, Dr. Clarke is brought in to the hospital to try to bring Phillip back to life, as he had done in his previous experiments. At the same time, the vicious murdering criminal Panino is being put to death by electrocution. Unwilling to let go of his life, Panino's soul possesses the body of Phillip, just as the doctor brings Phillip back to life. Phillip/Panino goes through a period of amnesia, where he does not remember anyone in Phillip's life, but soon regains the memories to take up his old life of crime with his old gang. A crime wave and gang war erupts under Phillip's new leadership, and Phillip's father and Dr. Clarke go to investigate what has gone wrong with Phillip. Can the two reach the real Phillip before the police destroy the gang in a final gun battle?
