In this spoof of a Victorian melodrama, a widow and her daughter are faced with a foreclosure when their mortgage holder passes away and the heir appears to be interested in their home.  When the daughter meets the heir, she and the young man fall in love with each other.  It turns out the heir’s lawyer is the real reason behind the foreclosure and he’s not only set his sights on the home but the daughter as well.
