Gene Autry finds himself returning to Torpedo, his hometown, as special guest of honor at the Frontier Days Celebration. When he arrives, he meets up with his childhood rivals, the Wildhack brothers, who are now the local criminals and proud of it. Trouble arises, but Gene is all over it.
