Hopalong (William Boyd) and Lucky (Russell Hayden) leave the Bar 20 ranch to take some cattle to South America and soon wind up helping Don Fernando (Sidney Toler), who has had a string of bad luck on his ranch. His son was killed in a firearm accident and his daughter was killed by a fall from a horse. Hoppy suspects that these “accidents” aren’t really accidents at all, and sets out to discover the truth.
