A group of wealthy people travel to French Saigon and encounter a beautiful woman named Manon deVargnes. She is not permitted to leave the country since she is part Oriental. Bill Carey stays after his friends leave to win her heart, yet cannot find a way to take her back with him. Another rich man is also interested in her named Pierre Delaroch and wants Carey to forget about his plans with her.
