Nabb is in charge of the pass and allows all the ranchers through except Holderness and his stolen cattle. When Holderness does not convince Nabb to sell, he sets his eyes on his son Snap who is in deep in gambling debts. After Snap is killed by Holderness, everyone unites together in town for the gunfight.
