Kind old Dad Haskell Frank Darien has concealed something from his daughter Betty. He informs her that he is the rightful owner of the Circle J, a Western dude ranch. There is one problem in his way and that is that the ranch was just purchased by Van Fleet and is not ready to have any guests over yet. Even though Betty does not treat Gene well, he pretends that everything is ok to galvanize her wealthy fiancé Walter. Problems arise when helium in the hills is discovered and a huge fight breaks out.
