Two indolent screenwriters are in need of a story for the cowboy star of their studio. They come up with an idea about a cowboy and a baby after one of the waitresses at the studio becomes pregnant. Her baby becomes the star, but the cowboy runs away with the waitress, so the writers hire an extra to play the part of the father. Only problem is the extra knows the waitress.
