Parker puts the blame on the turpentine’s after he robs cattle from some ranchers. He then encourages the cattlemen to destroy the turpentine trees by burning them down. Gene comes to the rescue and discovers the missing cattle. When Parker finds out, he tries to murder him. Instead he ends up murdering both Gene's father and Bayliss Baynam. Parker puts the blame on Gene for the murder of Baymun. Gene gets out of the mess at the end.
