A seafaring captain returns home from a long voyage to find his household and business in disarray. His daughter is planning to marry a man he disapproves of and the potential mother-in-law has taken over his company. Hoping to get everything back under control, the captain loads them all on board his boat for a trip. Planning to strand everyone on an island with the hopes of clearing everything up, things don’t go as planned when the entire party actually is marooned on the island.
