Shannon is leading a current smuggling arrangement by having an airplane find the cattle, send a message by radio to the smugglers, and then uses trucks to take the beef away. When the old Sheriff Doniphan fails to capture them, an eastern detective takes his place. Yet Doniphan's deputy, Gene, believes Shannon is behind the smuggling operation and plans a way to capture him and his men.
