A 1937 MGM release, Night 'n' Gales is an Our Gang / Little Rascals comedy short directed by Gordon Douglas.
Spanky, Buckwheat, Alfalfa and Porky are The Four Night ‘n’ Gales, a harmonizing singing group. They are singing at Darla’s house in their own off-key style, and annoying Mr. Hood immensely.
Mr. Hood is distressed when, as the boys are about to leave, a thunderstorm rolls in and they have to spend the night in the Hood home. Even more distressing – they’ll have to share Mr. Hood’s bed! After interminable fiddling and tossing and turning Mr. Hood is forced to leave his bed in search of a night’s sleep.
He finally settles himself on the sofa, covering himself the best he can with a bearskin rug. Of course, when he changes position on the sofa the bearskin moves, and the boys believe there’s a real bear in the house!
