MGM released Glove Taps in 1937, an Our Gang / Little Rascals comedy short directed by Gordon Douglas.

When Butch, the bully, shows up at school he warns everyone that he’s the toughest kid around, and he challenges Alfalfa to a fight.

Poor Alfalfa, no fighter, is shaking in his shoes but nevertheless goes into ‘training’, being coached by Spanky.  Alfalfa is training at the Ajax Athletic Club while Spanky reads from a book called ‘How to be a Fighter – 10 Easy Lessons’.

Will one day of training be enough to save Alfalfa from the big, mean kid?
