Pearl diver Duke Slade enters into a relationship with dying whaler Capt. Abner Drew’s daughter, Janet Drew.  The Captain encourages the relationship to keep First Mate Rand Husk from trying to marry Janet. When the crew discovers that Duke knows the location of a large cluster of pearls, they begin to mutiny , and it’s up to the Duke and Rand to work together to save the ship.
