Carol wins the lottery which ends up breaking her relationship with her fiancé Ronald, for they did not see eye to eye on things. She quickly finds another lover and falls hard for the charming and perplexing Gerald, marrying him against the advice of her friends.  She soon realizes that Gerald is a troubled man and finds herself in jeopardy.
