The Story of Louis Pasteur trailer

The story takes place in Paris during 1860. Louis Pasteur, a chemist who was not taken seriously by his colleagues for encouraging doctors to wash their hands and put their instruments in hot water to extinguish microbes, which he believed 30 percent of woman died from childbirth alone due to this. He came up with this discovery when he found microscopic organisms in sour wine. If these organisms are under heat for a long time, they eventually die. He takes his argument to Emperor Napoleon III and his doctor, Dr. Charbonnet, who is knowledgeable in his field. Eventually Pasteur is respected.
