After cowboy star Tom Ford vanishes, Wilson gets his look-a-like Gene Autry to enact him. The problem is Ford is in debt to criminal Rico of $10,000 and Rico appears to get his money. He does not end up with his money but discovers that Autry is pretending to be Ford, so he extorts Wilson along with his movie studio.
