A party game brings dizzy socialite Irene Bullock to the city dump where she meets Godfrey, a derelict, and she ends up hiring him as the family butler. He finds the Bullock family to be the epitome of the idle rich, and crazy as loons. Soon, the dramatizing Irene is in love with her servant, who feels strongly that a romance between servant and employer is distasteful, regardless of his own mysterious past.
