Bake Baker is a sailor whose fleet stops in San Francisco, so he attempts to get back in contact with his old flame and dancing partner, Sherry Martin. Bakes's pal Bilge becomes interested in Sherry's sister Connie. Problems arise since Bake is always losing jobs for Sherry and Bilge is not ready to commit.
