The famous broadway comedian Joe Cook made his return to film with this story about an Eastern tenderfoot named Arizona Mahoney who owns his own small travelling circus, consisting of an elephant, a goose, and an old cannon. Arizona's partner Randall (Robert Cummings) decides to quit the circus business and settle down, in order to woo Sue Bixby (Martel). Not to be left alone, Arizona decides to do the same by becoming a real cowboy, to humorous results. The bumbling cowboy somehow manages to capture a gang of cattle rustlers with the help of his elephant, and becomes the hero of the town. Very ill during the filming of this movie, Joe Cook died shortly after it was completed. Based on a novel by Zane Grey.
