Al Howard is a Broadway star, but no producer wants to work with him, for he does what he wants when he pleases, which causes shows to close and loss of money for them.  His sister Molly tries to help him find work and meets Dorothy who plans a club date in Chicago.  Al gets ahead of himself and wants to open a club on Broadway, so he goes to gangsters to borrow some money.
