Scoop Adams is an expert newsreel cameraman with an alcohol problem, which ends up ruining his professional career. Scoop also gets his photographer friend Dick terminated from the job as well.  He makes a vow to Dick that he will repair everything for him somehow. He gets an opportunity to do this while filming an airship accident, which benefits himself and Dick.
