Johnny Lovo becomes the leader of a bootlegging gang in Chicago after the killing of former leader Big Louis Costillo. Johnny was the one behind his murder, for he had Costillo’s bodyguard Tony to commit the murder. Tony becomes Johnny's associate and is not afraid of killing anyone who interferes with him or Johnny. He begins to make decisions on his own and continues to kill, while ignoring anything Johnny has to say.
