Lou Ricarno is an intelligent guy who plans to get all the gangs in Chicago together in order to keep the mugs from liquidating each other. He becomes a successful leader and marries Doris. He moves to Florida to retire and play golf, as well as writing his autobiography. Problems arise between gangs while he is gone, but he wants nothing to do with that life anymore, for he wants to live a respectable life with his wife and younger brother.
