King Louis XIII of France is consumed with happiness when his son is born, but when the queen delivers a twin, he has him sent to Spain in order for France to have a peaceful future. Many years pass by and the twins are switched in order for the hidden one to be king, while the other is concealed with an iron mask and sent to prison in order to remain a mystery.
