Tito and Simon are professional clowns whom encounter an abandoned child and name her is Simonetta. She follows in the footsteps of Tito and Simon and becomes a circus performer when she gets older. Count Luigi Ravelli immediately falls for Simonetta after she climbs into his garden in search of roses. He ends up visiting the doctor due to his uncontrollable laughter and meets Tito there who needs help with his uncontrollable crying. They become friends and help each other with their problems. Only problem is they are both in love with Simonetta.
