Buster goes to college and tries out for all sports to win the girl of his dreams. He fails until he must save her from a fate worse than death.

The film opens with the main male character, Ronald graduating from high school and although he is a highly studious student, he does not exceed in athletics. However, to earn the attention of the main female character, Mary he decides to try to make the baseball and track and field teams, but fails.  His grades in college begin to suffer as he is working two jobs and can not get his mind off of Mary.  The Dean decides to step in and help Ronald by ordering the coach of the rowing team to make him the coxswain.  The coach tries to trick Ronald into drinking a sleeping potion causing him to be unable to race however, by mistake the other team's coxswain drinks it and in the end Ronald's team wins the race.  Mary is now drawn to him, but her jock boyfriend tries to hold her hostage away from Ronald.  She is rescued and in the end marries Ronald.
